Most of the town occupies a valley floor between low hills, and the map shows the housing density following that sheltered ground closely.

关于地图
Sue Map Poster & Print
Sue is a town in Kasuya District, just east of Fukuoka City, where the coastal plain gives way to forested hills. On a map the built area fills the valley floor and lower slopes, with streets following the terrain rather than a strict grid. Wooded ridges rise to the east, and residential neighbourhoods connect westward to the wider Fukuoka suburbs.
Like several neighbouring towns, Sue developed in the era of coal mining in the Kasuya field, and its economy was once tied to the pits in these hills. Today it functions largely as a residential community for people working in Fukuoka, while the surrounding slopes remain green and lightly built.
A Sue map poster shows the meeting of suburb and hillside. Dense street patterns in the valley taper into winding roads as the ground rises, and the edges of the town soften into the forest. Printed in black and white, the contrast between tightly packed homes and the open, curving hill roads gives the image both structure and movement.

Wooded ridges
To the east the terrain rises into forested hills, where the street network thins out into a few winding roads that trace the shape of the land.
Fukuoka suburbs
On its western side Sue merges with the continuous suburbs of the Fukuoka area, and the map shows streets running without a break into neighbouring towns.
