The Mediterranean edge
The northern side of the map is set by the sea. The long, gently curving shoreline gives the whole composition a clean horizon line that contrasts with the detailed street pattern inland.

关于地图
Şurmān Map Poster & Print
Şurmān sits on the flat coastal plain of northwest Libya, between Zawiya and Sabratha, a short distance inland from the Mediterranean. From above, the town is shaped less by landmarks than by lines: the main coastal highway running east to west, a looser grid of local streets spreading out from it, and the calm, nearly straight line of the sea to the north.
Around the built-up core, the map breaks into a patchwork of plots, tracks and field boundaries. This is farming country, and olive groves and irrigated land surround the town in every direction. Rendered in black and white, those small, irregular parcels give the edges of the map a fine, textured quality, and the denser streets of the centre stand out clearly against them.
A Şurmān map poster keeps the composition simple: coast at the top, road through the middle, fields around the rest. That structure makes it readable at any size, from an A3 print on a desk shelf to a 24×36″ sheet on a wall. For people with family ties to the Zawiya region, it is a quiet, precise way to show where home sits on the Libyan shore.

The coastal highway
Libya's main coast road runs through the area from east to west, linking Şurmān with Zawiya and Tripoli on one side and Sabratha on the other. On the poster it reads as the town's backbone.
Farmland on the fringes
Beyond the centre, the street grid gives way to field boundaries, farm tracks and scattered buildings. These small parcels frame the town and fill the outer parts of the print with fine linework.

为什么选Şurmān
一张有意义的地图
People hang a map of Şurmān because it marks something personal: a family house near the coast road, a childhood spent among the groves, or a town left behind for work abroad. A plain black-and-white plan says this without decoration and fits calmly into most rooms.
The poster can carry your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a date, and a coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed or unframed.
