The Brahmani River
The river runs close to the town in a wide, sandy channel that splits and rejoins around bars, giving the map a loose, flowing edge against the harder industrial forms.

关于地图
Tālcher Map Poster & Print
Tālcher sits in the Angul district of Odisha, close to the Brahmani River, and its map shows a town shaped by the ground beneath it. A small, irregular centre of lanes and markets gives way to wide industrial parcels, rail spurs and haul roads that fan out towards the coalfield that carries the town's name.
From above the contrast is striking. Tight residential blocks and older streets cluster near the river, while to the edges the pattern loosens into large rectangles of plant sites, townships laid out on straighter lines, and open land cut by conveyor routes and tracks. The Brahmani's broad, braided channel adds a soft counterweight to all that geometry.
A Tālcher map poster turns that mix of river, town and industry into a clean composition of lines. The Talcher coalfield is one of the largest in India, and the thermal power and fertiliser works built around it have given the area its modern outline, visible on the map as planned colonies set beside the older settlement.

Planned colonies
Company townships built for power and mining staff appear as neat, regular blocks of streets, quite unlike the irregular lanes of the older town centre.
Rail and haul lines
Railway sidings and mine roads stretch out from the town towards the coalfield, drawing long, deliberate strokes across otherwise open land.

为什么选Tālcher
一张有意义的地图
For families whose working lives were tied to the mines, the power plants or the rail yards, this map is a record of a place built by effort. It suits a home office or a gift for someone who grew up in one of the colonies and moved away.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a year, and the coordinates line, then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint in particular suits the town's industrial character.
