关于地图
Talwāra Map Poster & Print
Talwāra lies in the northeastern corner of Punjab, at the edge of the Shivalik foothills and close to the border with Himachal Pradesh. It grew around the Beas project and the Pong Dam, which holds back the Beas River upstream. Its map shows a town shaped by engineering as much as by terrain.
The planned sections of the township have the ordered roads, quarters and open spaces of a project colony, while older settlements nearby follow more irregular lanes. The Beas and its channels run through the surrounding land, and hills rise to the north. Water infrastructure is part of the landscape, visible in canals and river works.
A Talwāra map poster shows the line where the Punjab plains meet the first hills. In black and white, the river channels, the planned township and the wrinkled terrain to the north create a composition that is both orderly and natural.

Planned township
Sections built for the dam project show regular roads and residential blocks, a planned layout distinct from the surrounding villages.
Shivalik foothills
To the north the land begins to rise into the Shivaliks, where roads bend with the hills and settlement becomes sparser.
