Kayan River
The wide river crosses the frame as the main feature of the map. Its broad channel and gentle curves decide where the town grows and how it connects to the region.

关于地图
Tanjung Selor Map Poster & Print
Tanjung Selor is the capital of North Kalimantan, a province created in 2012, and the seat of Bulungan Regency. It lies on the Kayan River, one of the major rivers of northern Borneo. The map is organised around the river's wide channel, with the town's streets spreading along the banks and across the flat ground beside them.
Settlement here has long depended on the river for transport and trade, and the Bulungan Sultanate once had its seat in this area. From above, the core of Tanjung Selor looks compact, with a network of streets near the waterfront and newer roads reaching into cleared land. Beyond them, forest, swamp and tributaries fill the landscape.
A Tanjung Selor map poster shows a young provincial capital shaped by a great tropical river. The broad band of the Kayan, the smaller channels branching from it and the loose street grid make a composition with a strong central axis. It is a meaningful print for anyone connected to Bulungan or North Kalimantan.

Riverside centre
Streets cluster most densely near the waterfront, where the older parts of town meet the river, and loosen into a more open pattern further inland.
Forest and swamp
Around the town, tributaries, wetlands and forest form a soft, irregular landscape with few roads, leaving plenty of open space around the urban core.
