Yahagi River
The river runs north to south through the western part of the city. Bridges cross it at regular intervals, and it separates the central grid from the neighbourhoods on the far bank.

关于地图
Toyota Map Poster & Print
From above, Toyota has two distinct parts. The urban core sits in the west, laid out as a compact grid on the Yahagi River, with rail lines and arterial roads threading through it. East of the centre, the street network thins out and the map becomes rolling hills, narrow valleys and scattered villages that joined the city in later municipal mergers.
The city was once called Koromo. It took the name Toyota in 1959, after the carmaker that had grown up there, and it is still closely tied to the automotive industry. On a map you can see this in the large rectangular factory sites and in the broad roads that link them to the surrounding towns of Aichi.
A Toyota map poster shows both sides of the place: the tight, orderly blocks of the centre and the loose, branching lines of the hill country. In black and white, the Yahagi River becomes the main organising line, running between districts and marking where the town meets the open land around it.

Factory footprints
Large plain rectangles stand out among the finer streets. These are industrial sites, and their size shows how much the car industry has shaped the land use of the city.
Eastern hills
Further east the roads follow valleys and ridgelines rather than a grid. The map loosens into winding lines and small settlements spread across wooded, mountainous ground.

为什么选Toyota
一张有意义的地图
Toyota means a lot to people who have worked in the plants, studied nearby or grown up in Aichi. The poster records the place as it is actually built, a working city beside a river with quiet hills behind it.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a start date or the name of a neighbourhood. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
