关于地图
Trappes Map Poster & Print
Trappes is a town in the Yvelines department, west of Paris. It is part of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines new town area. On a map, the town is split by infrastructure. Wide railway lines and yards run through it, and a major trunk road crosses it too. The neighbourhoods fall on either side of these barriers, linked by a few bridges and underpasses.
The town's modern shape comes from its role as a railway hub and from postwar housing construction. Large residential estates contrast with the older centre and smaller houses. Several well-known French personalities grew up in Trappes, including the actors Omar Sy and Jamel Debbouze. As a result, many people in France recognise the town's name.
A Trappes map poster is about lines and divisions. The broad rail corridor dominates the frame, the road cuts across, and each neighbourhood has its own texture. Nearby is the lake of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a large body of water that gives the map a calmer counterweight.
