Main plaza grid
The city radiates from its central plaza in an even grid of square blocks, a pattern inherited from the Jesuit mission and still clearly visible across the whole urban area.

关于地图
Trinidad Map Poster & Print
Trinidad is the capital of Bolivia's Beni Department, in the flat, seasonally flooded savannas of the Llanos de Moxos in the Amazon lowlands. It was founded in 1686 by the Jesuit missionary Cipriano Barace, and the map still shows a mission-town plan: a regular grid of blocks centred on a large main plaza, with streets extending evenly in every direction.
Water shapes the surroundings. The Mamoré River flows a short distance to the west, and the city is surrounded by lagoons, wetlands and drainage channels, with an embankment built against seasonal floods. Across the wider plains lie pre-Columbian raised fields, canals and mounds, remains of societies that managed these waters long before the missions arrived.
A Trinidad map poster captures a lowland city of straight streets set in an irregular, watery landscape. In monochrome the grid appears firm and deliberate, while the lagoons, channels and meandering rivers beyond give the edges a soft, shifting outline. It is a map of a city built on the flat ground between the rivers of Beni.
