Ualog is a locality in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, part of the central island group where land and sea are never far apart. Places of this size usually show on a map as a loose cluster of roads and houses rather than a formal grid, with lanes branching off a main route and gradually fading into cultivated land.
The wider region is largely agricultural, and the patterns around settlements here are often shaped by fields, small rivers and the roads that connect barangays to larger towns. Rather than famous landmarks, the interest of the map lies in its texture: how a community has grown along its routes, and where building gives way to open ground.
