Urucará Map Poster & Print
Urucará is a municipality in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, located on the northern bank of the Amazon River between Manaus and Parintins. Like many towns in the region, it is reached mainly by boat, and the river is the main route in and out. On the map, the waterfront is the defining edge of the town.
The streets form a small grid along the bank, with the main roads running parallel to the water and side streets leading inland. Beyond the town, the land breaks into floodplain lakes, channels and forest, and the pattern of water shifts with the seasonal rise and fall of the Amazon.
