The market square
The Rynek appears as a crisp open rectangle at the heart of the plan, with the basilica and the papal family home on its edge.

关于地图
Wadowice Map Poster & Print
Wadowice lies southwest of Kraków, where the Skawa River leaves the foothills of the Little Beskids. The river runs past the town in a broad curve. The streets on the map climb gently away from it, and wooded hills rise to the south.
At the centre is the market square, a clear open rectangle with streets leaving from its corners. Around it, the old town keeps a compact, irregular layout. Newer housing estates, a railway line and the main roads to Kraków and Bielsko-Biała lie further out, with a looser, more open grain.
Wadowice is the birthplace of Karol Wojtyła, Pope John Paul II. His family home, now a museum, is next to the basilica beside the square. A Wadowice map poster shows the town at that familiar scale: a small square, a river and hills on the horizon.

Skawa River
The river sweeps past the town in a wide arc. It gives the composition a natural, curving boundary.
Beskid foothills
South of town, roads start winding into wooded hills. The street pattern loosens as the ground rises.
