Rice fields around the settlement form a tight pattern of rectangles and channels, adding delicate texture to the areas between roads.

关于地图
Yabase Map Poster & Print
Yabase lies in western Tottori Prefecture, on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu. This is a region of low hills, coastal plains and shallow lagoons, where towns spread along rivers and main roads and rice fields fill much of the flat ground in between.
From above, the settlement appears as a network of streets surrounded by farmland, with roads leading toward larger towns nearby and the coast. The irrigation channels and rectangular paddy plots give the surrounding landscape a fine, even texture that works well in black and white.
A Yabase map poster is a quiet, personal image of a small part of rural Tottori. It suits people with family ties to the area or those who want to remember a stay in this less-travelled corner of western Japan.

Connecting roads
Roads link the settlement with neighbouring towns and the coast, running across the plain and giving the map its main lines.
Hills at the edge
Low wooded hills rise at the margins of the plain, where the road network thins and the map opens up.

为什么选Yabase
一张有意义的地图
Tottori is Japan's least populous prefecture, and many people who grew up in its smaller places now live far away. A map of Yabase is a precise reminder of home, more personal than a picture of any famous landmark.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line and choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the files for $9 or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
