Highland road
The main north–south route runs straight through town. It is the strongest line on the map, and along it the newer shops and houses have grown.

关于地图
Yarīm Map Poster & Print
Yarīm sits high in the Yemeni highlands, in the north of Ibb Governorate, on the plateau between Sana'a and the southern cities. The altitude is noticeable even on a flat map. Around the town are broad cultivated plains, and further out the land folds into mountains marked by terraces and seasonal watercourses.
The main road linking the north and south of the country passes through Yarīm, and much of the town has grown along it. The older quarter is a dense cluster of narrow lanes and closely packed buildings. Newer building spreads more loosely along the highway and across the surrounding fields.
A Yarīm map poster shows a place shaped by elevation and by movement: a fixed old centre and a long road carrying traffic through the highlands. The contrast between the tight lanes and the open plateau around them gives the print its character.

Dense old quarter
The older part of Yarīm is a compact knot of small lanes and tightly packed buildings. It stands out as the darkest, most detailed area of the poster.
Surrounding plain
Farmed plains and distant terraced slopes surround the town. They appear as open space broken by tracks and watercourses, which emphasises how high and remote the place is.

为什么选Yarīm
一张有意义的地图
For Yemenis living abroad, a map of their hometown can mean more than a photograph. It shows the streets exactly as they were known, and it can hang anywhere without explanation.
You can write the title, subtitle and coordinates line yourself, including in a form that matches how your family names the town. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
