关于地图
Zemlya Georga Map Poster & Print
Zemlya Georga, or George Land, is the largest island of Franz Josef Land, the Russian Arctic archipelago north of Novaya Zemlya. It lies on the western side of the group. From above it is a large, irregular landmass, much of it under an ice cap. Glacier tongues reach the sea, and bays and headlands break up the coastline.
At around 80 degrees north, the island goes through months of polar night, and sea ice surrounds it for much of the year. There are no towns or roads. Where the edges are free of ice, the ground is stony and bare, and walrus, seabirds and polar bears use it rather than people.
An Austro-Hungarian expedition reached Franz Josef Land in the 1870s and named it after the emperor. It is now part of the Russian Arctic National Park. A Zemlya Georga map poster shows a landscape shaped entirely by ice and water, drawn in clean lines that suit the high latitude.

Glacier fronts
Where the ice meets the sea, glacier tongues push out into the bays. The result is a coastline of ice fronts and inlets that can shift from one survey to the next.
Island channels
Narrow straits separate George Land from its neighbours in the archipelago, so the map shows it within a pattern of sounds and smaller islands.

为什么选Zemlya Georga
一张有意义的地图
It is a poster for polar enthusiasts, readers of expedition history and anyone who likes large, quiet shapes. With no streets or towns, the print becomes a study of coastline and scale, and it looks especially striking in the Blueprint or Noir style.
Add a title such as an expedition name or a date, edit the subtitle and coordinates, and choose one of five styles. HD files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF in six sizes, ready for any local printer.
