América Dourada Map Poster & Print
América Dourada is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, in the central-northern part of the state, far from the Atlantic coast. The town at its centre is compact, with a short grid of streets arranged around the core. On a map it appears as a small, tightly drawn cluster, surrounded by open land crossed by long rural roads and the lines of field boundaries.
The name, meaning Golden America, gives the place an unusual ring among Brazilian towns. The surrounding region is semi-arid, and farming shapes the landscape, which from above looks like a patchwork of fields, tracks and reservoirs. Smaller rural communities are scattered across the municipality and connected to the town by unpaved roads that spread outwards like thin threads.
Small towns like this rarely receive careful cartographic attention. An América Dourada map poster gives its streets the precision usually reserved for major cities, while leaving the surrounding countryside open and calm. It is a quiet, personal image for families from central Bahia, whether they still live nearby or have moved to Salvador, São Paulo or further away.

Roads into the countryside
Rural roads leave the centre in several directions, linking scattered farming communities and forming long, thin lines across the open landscape.
Semi-arid farmland
Fields, tracks and small reservoirs form a loose patchwork around the town, appearing on the poster as quiet, spacious ground that frames the streets.
