Bāprola is in West Delhi, part of the belt of former villages at the city's growing edge. From above, it's easy to see an older village core: a knot of narrow, irregular lanes that grew up before the modern city arrived and still stands out against the newer development around it.
Around that core the pattern changes. Newer housing colonies fill the land in blocks of varying regularity, and wider roads connect the area with Najafgarh, Dwarka and the rest of West Delhi. Open plots and patches of farmland still appear at the edges, although building continues to spread over them.
