Burlington Map Poster & Print
Burlington lies at the western tip of Lake Ontario, between Hamilton and Oakville. Its southern edge is the lakeshore. To the southwest, a narrow sandbar separates Hamilton Harbour from the open lake, and a short canal with a lift bridge cuts through it. The Niagara Escarpment rises across the northern part of the city.
The downtown and the waterfront park by the lake hold the oldest streets. From there, the city spreads north and east in suburban neighbourhoods laid along the old concession grid, crossed by the Queen Elizabeth Way and Highways 403 and 407. North of the escarpment, the street pattern thins into rural roads and conservation land.
A Burlington map poster captures this sequence clearly. At the bottom is the lake and the harbour, in the middle a band of suburbs and highways, and above them the escarpment edge. It is a tidy, readable composition shaped by water and a long ridge.

Lakeshore downtown
The old centre sits right on the water next to Spencer Smith Park. On the map, its short streets meet the lakeshore at the base of the city.
Escarpment edge
In the north, the Niagara Escarpment marks the point where dense suburban streets give way to rural roads, trails and open land.
