Streets on a slope
Instead of straight parallel blocks, many streets curve and step to follow the hillside, giving the centre an uneven, organic grain that stands out clearly in black and white.

Caririaçu Map Poster & Print
Caririaçu sits in the Cariri region of southern Ceará, a short distance north of the larger urban area around Juazeiro do Norte. From above, the town does not spread out as a flat grid. Its streets follow the slope of the land, so blocks tilt, narrow and fan out where the terrain allows. The result is a compact centre with a loose, irregular edge.
On the map, the main roads read as the town's backbone. They arrive from the surrounding countryside, meet near the centre and split into smaller residential streets that fill the gentler ground. Beyond the last houses, the fine lines thin out into rural tracks and fields. That contrast between a dense core and open land gives the drawing a clear, readable outline.
A Caririaçu map poster keeps only what the map shows: roads, blocks and the edge where the town gives way to open country. There are no labels on the land and no colour to distract. For people from the Cariri, the pattern is usually recognisable at a glance, even without a single street name printed on the sheet.

Roads from the valley
A few main routes lead into town from the lower Cariri plain. On the poster they appear as the heavier lines that hold the rest of the street network together.
Town meets countryside
At the edges, the dense pattern of blocks stops fairly abruptly and gives way to scattered tracks, so the outline of the town is easy to trace across the sheet.

ለምን Caririaçu
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Caririaçu is the kind of place people carry with them after moving to Fortaleza, São Paulo or further away. A map of its hillside streets is a quiet reminder of home, of a family house or of a childhood spent between the town and the wider Cariri.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or an important date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD files cost $9, and printed posters with an optional wooden frame ship from partners in 30+ countries.
