Davlekanovo is a town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, southwest of Ufa, set in the open country of the Dema River valley. Two lines shape its map. The river winds in loops along the edge of town, and the railway between Ufa and Samara runs straight through it. The town originally grew up around that railway.
The streets form a largely rectangular grid of low houses and gardens, typical of small towns in the region, with a few larger blocks near the centre and around the station. Beyond the edges the landscape opens into broad fields and patches of woodland, rising gently toward the Belebey Upland to the west.
