Dipayal Map Poster & Print
Dipayal lies on the Seti River in Nepal's Doti district. Together with Silgadhi on the higher ground it forms the twin town of Dipayal Silgadhi. The valley floor is narrow, so the town stretches along the river and the road that follows it. The slopes above are marked by terraces and footpaths that climb toward hillside settlements.
For many years Dipayal served as the headquarters of Nepal's former Far-Western Development Region. That administrative role brought offices and institutions to a town that is otherwise shaped entirely by its terrain. On a map, the linear pull of the valley is the strongest feature. Buildings, roads and bridges all line up with the direction of the water.
A Dipayal map poster captures this relationship between river, road and mountain in a simple, readable form. The composition is built around a single strong line of settlement running through a large expanse of steep country. It is quiet, spacious and unmistakably Himalayan in character.

Twin town
Dipayal on the valley floor and Silgadhi on the higher ground together form one municipality. The poster can show the lower and upper parts of the town in the same frame.
Hillside paths
Winding tracks climb the slopes above the river to villages and terraced fields. They give the map a fine web of lines around the dense valley settlement.
