Fânzeres Map Poster & Print
Fânzeres is a parish in the municipality of Gondomar, just east of Porto in northern Portugal. From above, it is part of the continuous urban area spreading out from the city, with residential streets, apartment blocks and houses with gardens laid over rolling ground. The pattern is irregular, following older rural roads that have gradually filled in with development.
Fânzeres is also the eastern terminus of Line F of the Porto Metro, which runs from here toward the city centre and beyond. Around the stations, the map shows how transport and building have grown together, with newer blocks alongside older lanes and patches of green that recall the district's more rural past.
A Fânzeres map poster shows the texture of Porto's eastern suburbs: a fine web of streets, the line of the metro, main roads heading west to the city and the higher, less developed ground to the east. It is a quiet, detailed portrait of a place where many people live their daily lives just beyond the city's edge.

Irregular streets, many following older rural routes, form a dense and varied network of houses, apartment blocks and small green spaces.
Eastern high ground
Toward the east the built-up area thins as the land rises, and the map begins to open into wooded and less developed ground.
