Garbsen Map Poster & Print
Garbsen lies directly west of Hannover in Lower Saxony. It was formed in the 1970s from a group of villages, and the map still shows that origin. Instead of a single historic centre, it has several neighbourhood clusters linked by roads, with fields and patches of woodland in between.
The Mittelland Canal is the strongest line on the map. It runs straight across the town as one of the main east–west waterways of northern Germany. Nearby, the Blauer See, a former gravel pit lake, forms a compact dark shape, and the forests on the northern side give the composition a soft, open border.
In recent years Garbsen has also become a university location. Leibniz University Hannover moved its mechanical engineering faculty to a new campus here. A Garbsen map poster records this mix of canal, lakes, villages and a modern campus on the edge of a major city.
