Murter Map Poster & Print
Murter lies close to the coast of central Dalmatia, between Šibenik and Zadar, and is linked to the mainland by a short bridge at Tisno. From above it is long and narrow, with a hilly spine, olive groves and pine woods, and a coastline of shallow bays. The island faces a scatter of smaller islets and, beyond them, the open sea towards the Kornati.
Four settlements give the island its street pattern: Tisno at the bridge, Jezera and Betina along the shores, and the village of Murter at the northwestern end. Each is a compact knot of stone houses and lanes around a small harbour, joined by a road running along the island. Betina has a long tradition of wooden boatbuilding.
Murter is also the main gateway to the Kornati National Park, and many of its families have long farmed olives on those islands. A Murter map poster captures the thin shape of the island, the bridge at Tisno, the four villages and the maze of islets and channels that open towards the Kornati.

Four harbour villages
Tisno, Jezera, Betina and Murter each form a compact cluster of lanes around a harbour, spaced along the island like beads on a road.
Towards the Kornati
Beyond the island's western shore lies a scatter of islets and channels leading to the Kornati archipelago, a detailed field of shapes on the map.

ለምን Murter
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Murter is a summer base for sailors, a holiday home for many families and the starting point for trips to the Kornati. A map of the island works as a souvenir of the harbours, the bridge and the boats.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a village name or the dates of a sailing holiday, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits the pale stone villages.
