Pontinha Map Poster & Print
Pontinha lies just beyond Lisbon's northwestern city limits, in the municipality of Odivelas. It grew rapidly in the second half of the twentieth century. On the map, it appears as a dense pattern of apartment blocks, winding residential streets and slopes. It sits between larger roads that carry traffic in and out of the capital.
The district is closely associated with the Carnation Revolution. On 25 April 1974, the Armed Forces Movement ran its operations from a command post at the engineering regiment barracks in Pontinha. The military compound, a large walled area, still appears clearly on the map as a separate block within the surrounding neighbourhood.
A Pontinha map poster shows a working suburb with strong connections to the city. Its metro station on the Blue Line provides a direct link to central Lisbon, and highways skirt the district. In black and white, the print highlights the contrast between tight residential streets, open military ground and the large infrastructure around them.

Pontinha station on the Blue Line connects the district to central Lisbon, anchoring a local cluster of streets, stops and small squares.
Hillside housing
Apartment blocks and residential streets climb the uneven terrain, following curves and slopes rather than a strict grid across the neighbourhood.
