Yellow River
The river runs along the eastern side of the city, a wide, shifting channel that gives the poster a strong natural edge and a sense of scale.

Shizuishan Map Poster & Print
Shizuishan is the northernmost city of Ningxia, set on a strip of flat land between the Helan Mountains to the west and the Yellow River to the east. The urban area is divided into separate districts spaced along this corridor, so the map shows clusters of planned streets rather than one continuous city, with irrigated fields and dry ground in between.
The city developed in the second half of the twentieth century as a coal and industrial base, and its layout reflects that period: wide straight avenues, large blocks and rail lines serving mines and factories. Its name, meaning roughly stone-mouth mountain, refers to the point where the rocks of the Helan range reach out toward the Yellow River.
A Shizuishan map poster captures a landscape defined by contrast: the rigid geometry of the industrial city, the mountain edge on one side and the broad line of the Yellow River on the other. It is a spare, quiet composition that suits people with ties to the city and anyone who likes maps of frontier places.

Helan foothills
To the west the land rises toward the Helan Mountains, and the street network thins out where the dry, bare slopes begin.
Separate districts
Dawukou, the main urban district, and the other built-up areas sit apart along the corridor, linked by long straight roads and rail lines.

ለምን Shizuishan
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Shizuishan is a city people often leave for work or study and remember vividly: the wind off the mountains, the river, the factory towns. A map puts that geography on the wall in a form that feels both personal and calm.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a district name or a meaningful date. Pick from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and choose a $9 download or a printed poster.
