Open sandveld
There are no hills or rivers to break it up, so the map is a flat field of tracks and plots. The emptiness around the lines is as much a part of the poster as the streets.

Tutume Map Poster & Print
Tutume is one of the larger villages of Botswana's Central District, in the north-east of the country. From above, it spreads across flat, open sandveld, with homestead plots set along a loose network of tracks. There are no hills or rivers to pin the layout, so the pattern follows the land's evenness and the main roads leading in.
As the centre of its sub-district, Tutume has government offices, schools and a hospital, and it serves many smaller villages nearby. Like many Botswana villages it covers a lot of ground for its population. Wide yards and open space between houses make the plan look airy, with tracks crossing each other at easy angles.
A Tutume map poster captures that sense of space. Instead of a dense core, the sheet shows a light, even web of lines over open ground. The effect is spare and quiet, well suited to black and white, and it will be familiar to anyone who has driven into the village along one of its long, straight approaches.

Homestead plots
Houses sit in generous yards along sandy tracks. At poster scale they form a loose, regular texture rather than tightly packed blocks.
Approach roads
A few long roads lead into Tutume from the surrounding region, crossing the frame as the strongest lines and anchoring the composition.

ለምን Tutume
ትርጉም ያለው ካርታ
Tutume is a place people leave for Francistown or Gaborone and keep coming back to. A map of the village is an understated reminder of home, and the open layout looks calm and uncluttered on a wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or ward. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files include six print sizes, each as a PNG and a print-ready PDF.
