Winchester Map Poster & Print
Winchester sits about eight miles north of Boston, and on a map it is framed by water and woodland. The Mystic Lakes line its southern edge, and the rocky, forested Middlesex Fells Reservation spreads across the east. In between, residential streets curve over gentle hills, following the terrain rather than a strict grid.
The Aberjona River flows south through the middle of town towards the lakes, widening into ponds near the town centre. The commuter rail line to Boston runs roughly alongside it, with stations serving the centre and neighbourhoods. Around the town hall and library, the older core forms a compact cluster of streets with a small common.
Winchester is known for its schools, its well-kept older houses and its easy access to Boston, yet from above it is mostly trees, water and quiet streets. The Winchester map poster shows how the lakes, river and Fells shape the town. It is a detailed, balanced print, with open space and dense lines in equal measure.
