Zhoucun Map Poster & Print
Zhoucun is a district of Zibo in central Shandong, on the plain north of the province's hill country. Its name comes from an old commercial town that grew prosperous through trade. Part of that historic quarter has been preserved, and on a map it appears as a patch of narrower, closer streets set into much wider modern avenues.
Around the old core, the district follows the patterns of contemporary Chinese urban growth. Long arterial roads cross at right angles, large residential blocks are laid out as enclosed compounds, and industrial areas sit towards the edges. Rail lines run through the area and connect it to the rest of Zibo and on towards Jinan.
A Zhoucun map poster brings out the contrast between two ways of building a town. The dense historic quarter looks almost hand-drawn, while the surrounding grid is ruled and spacious. In a monochrome print, that difference in texture becomes the main subject, and you can see the whole story of the place at once.

Arterial grid
Broad avenues divide the modern district into large rectangles. This is the orderly, large-scale structure typical of newer development across the Shandong plain.
Rail corridor
Rail lines cross the district and tie Zhoucun into the wider Zibo area. On the map they add long straight strokes that cut through the street pattern.
