Ahwa Map Poster & Print
Ahwa is the headquarters of the Dang district in the far south-east of Gujarat, a hilly, heavily forested area in the Sahyadri foothills. It is a small town, and from above it appears as a modest cluster of streets surrounded by woodland and farmland, with roads curving through the hills to link it with the rest of the district.
The town is known for the Dangs Darbar, an annual gathering held around Holi, when the descendants of the traditional chiefs of the Dangs are honoured and the district fills with visitors, music and dance. The hill station of Saputara, the best-known destination in the district, lies a short drive to the south.
