Fālna is a town in the Pali district of Rajasthan, in the dry country west of the Aravalli hills. On a map, the railway is one of its clearest features. The line runs past the town in a long straight stroke, and the station and its surrounding streets form a natural centre, with residential lanes spreading out on either side.
Fālna is well known in the region as a railway stop for travellers heading to the Jain temples and hill areas nearby. The town itself has a large Jain temple, often called the Golden Temple, which draws pilgrims and visitors. The countryside around is open farmland and scrub, dotted with villages.
