Maswa is a district town in the Simiyu region of northern Tanzania, on the wide, gently rolling plains between Lake Victoria and the Serengeti. From above, the town forms a loose cluster of streets around a crossing of main roads. The streets thin out quickly into fields and scattered homesteads.
