Myyrmäki is a district in western Vantaa, part of the Helsinki metropolitan area. It was built mainly in the 1970s, and the map shows a typical Finnish suburb of that era: apartment blocks set loosely among trees, curving streets that avoid through traffic, and a network of paths through the woods. The district is known for Myyrmäki Church, designed by Juha Leiviskä and completed in 1984, admired for its handling of natural light and set in a small park beside the railway.
