Xindi Map Poster & Print
Xindi is a town on the Yangtze in southern Hubei, within Jingzhou prefecture. It serves as the urban centre of Honghu. It lies on the low, water-rich Jianghan plain, and the map is shaped by water. The Yangtze forms a wide edge, and flood dykes, channels and lakes break up the land around the built-up area.
The region is named after Hong Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Hubei, which lies to the northwest. Fishing and farming on the lakes and fields have long been part of local life. In Chinese culture, the area is also connected with the well-known revolutionary opera and song about Hong Lake.
