Tight residential lanes
The streets are short and run close together, following old plot lines instead of a planned grid. On paper they read as a dense, detailed mesh.

El mapa
Allapuram Map Poster & Print
Allapuram sits in the southern part of the Vellore urban area in northern Tamil Nadu. On a map it doesn't look like a separate town. Its streets run straight into the rest of the city, so you can't see where one ends and the other begins. Houses sit tight along narrow lanes, and a few main roads carry traffic toward the centre and out to the countryside.
The land around Vellore is shaped by hills. Bare, rocky ridges rise at the edges of the plain, and the built-up area grows along the valleys between them. The Palar River crosses the district further north. Most of the year its bed is wide and sandy, and on a map it shows up as a broad pale band rather than a thin blue line.
A Allapuram map poster shows the way the neighbourhood is actually laid out: small plots, lanes that bend, and the main roads threading through. At poster scale the lanes turn into a fine, even texture. The empty hill ground around the edges keeps that texture from filling the whole sheet.

Hills on the horizon
Rocky ridges around the Vellore plain appear as open, roadless ground. That empty space frames the built-up area and gives the composition clear edges.
Links to Vellore
Main roads join Allapuram to the rest of Vellore without a gap. The map reads as part of one continuous city, not a separate settlement.
