El mapa
Bālugān Map Poster & Print
Bālugān lies in Khordha district of Odisha, on the western shore of Chilika Lake, the largest coastal lagoon in India. The town stretches along a narrow strip of land between the water and the hills inland, and its map is shaped by that squeeze: a linear settlement where railway, highway and shoreline run roughly side by side.
The town is known for its fish market, where catches from Chilika, including prawns and crabs, are traded and sent on to other cities. Boats leave from the shore for islands in the lagoon, among them the island of the Kalijai temple. The main line between Kolkata and Chennai passes through, and the national highway follows the same corridor.
A Bālugān map poster places the town at the edge of a vast body of water. The Chilika shoreline and its islands occupy much of the frame, while the built-up area forms a thin, dense band beside it, crossed by the parallel lines of rail and road. It is a striking composition, both simple and unusual.

Per què Bālugān
Un mapa amb significat
Bālugān is chosen by people from the Chilika region, by those whose families work in fishing or trade, and by travellers who crossed the lagoon by boat. The large expanse of water makes a calm, open image.
Add a title, a subtitle with a family name or a trip date, and a coordinates line. Blueprint and Noir emphasise the lagoon, while Classic black & white, Paper and Sand give a softer effect; a free 900 px preview lets you check the framing first.
