The Missouri River
The river forms the eastern edge of the city and the border with Iowa. Its curves and floodplain give the poster a strong natural boundary.

El mapa
Bellevue Map Poster & Print
Bellevue lies just south of Omaha, on high ground above the Missouri River, which forms both the city's eastern edge and the state border with Iowa. It is often described as the oldest continuous town in Nebraska, with roots in a fur-trading post of the early nineteenth century. The oldest streets are close to the river bluffs.
To the south is Offutt Air Force Base, home of US Strategic Command. On the map it appears as a large, clearly defined area with its runway and base roads. The rest of Bellevue is mainly residential, with neighbourhoods reaching west across rolling land and north toward Omaha.
A Bellevue map poster places three different textures side by side: the river and its wide floodplain to the east, the long runway and base to the south, and suburban streets in between. The old centre near the bluffs completes a composition that tells the town's story in a single view.

Offutt Air Force Base
The base covers a large area in the south, with a long runway at its centre. It is the most distinctive shape on the map and an important part of the city.
Old town bluffs
Bellevue's oldest streets lie near the bluffs above the river. They form a small historic centre that dates from the town's early trading days.
