Beluru is a small town in the interior of northern Sarawak, on the island of Borneo, inland from the coastal city of Miri. On a map it looks modest: a compact core of streets at a junction of roads that lead out across broad lowland. That simplicity is a large part of its appeal. There are no crowded districts, only a clear center and the lines that connect it to the wider region.
