Chubek lies in Khatlon Province in the far south of Tajikistan, in the lowland country that slopes toward the Panj River, which forms the border with Afghanistan. The area is agricultural and depends on irrigation, and the map shows it: a network of canals and field boundaries surrounds the settlement.
From above, the town appears as a group of streets and residential blocks along the main roads, with homes and gardens spreading out along smaller lanes. The pattern is typical of settlements in southern Tajikistan, where houses sit within walled courtyards and plots stretch toward the fields.
