El mapa
Gölbaşı Map Poster & Print
Gölbaşı is a town in Adıyaman Province in southeastern Turkey. Its name means head of the lake, and the map shows why: the town sits beside a group of lakes in a long valley between hills. From above, water is the main feature, and the town is pressed along the shoreline and the valley floor.
The lakes, among them Gölbaşı Lake, Azaplı and İnekli, lie along the line of the East Anatolian Fault, which shaped the valley over a very long time. On the map they form a row of smooth, elongated shapes. The main road and the railway follow the valley between them and link them together.
The town was badly hit by the February 2023 earthquakes and has been rebuilding since. A Gölbaşı map poster records the place through its lasting geography: the lakes, the valley and the roads. It makes a quiet, respectful keepsake for people with ties to the town and its villages.

Valley corridor
Roads and the railway run along the valley floor between the lakes and the hills. Their parallel lines tie the whole composition together.
Hillside edges
Bare slopes rise on both sides of the valley. They leave open space around the town on the map and emphasise its long, lakeside shape.
