From above, the town is a cluster of streets set on uneven ground, with roads bending to follow contours rather than running in straight lines. Built-up areas spread along ridges and gentle slopes.
Around the town, the map opens into farmland, olive groves and terraced hillsides, crossed by narrow agricultural tracks. These fine lines form a loose web that contrasts with the denser centre, and they give the print the texture of land that has long been cultivated.
