Jielong is a town within the municipality of Chongqing in southwestern China, located in the hilly countryside south of the main urban area. The terrain of the region is famously uneven, and Jielong's map shows it clearly: there is no grid here, only streets and lanes fitted into the space the hills allow, with the town's core settled on the more level ground.
Away from the centre, roads twist along ridgelines and drop into valleys, linking small hamlets scattered across the slopes.
