Clustered neighbourhoods
Housing sits in distinct groups rather than one continuous town, a pattern typical of settlements that grew up around separate mines.

El mapa
Khanzhonkivskyi Map Poster & Print
Khanzhonkivskyi lies in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, in the open, gently rolling country of the Donbas coalfield. Settlements here grew around mines, so the map is shaped by work more than by rivers or old roads. Residential streets form small grids and clusters, and industrial sites, rail lines and open ground separate them.
Like many places in the region, the town's layout reflects the history of coal. Workers' housing was built near the pits, and branch railways connected the mines to larger centres nearby. The result is a scattered, patchwork plan, with gaps and spaces between neighbourhoods that are as much part of the picture as the streets.
A Khanzhonkivskyi map poster records the shape of this landscape plainly and without embellishment. For people with family ties to the Donbas, it can hold the memory of a specific street or courtyard. The drawing shows the pattern of a settlement that grew around industry, and it reads well in a minimal style.

Rail lines
Railway tracks and branch lines cross the area, long thin strokes that once carried coal and now structure the map.
Open steppe
Broad stretches of open land between the streets give the poster lots of negative space, making the built areas stand out clearly.
