Kuseifa lies in the northeastern Negev, not far from Arad, where the land starts to fall away toward the Dead Sea basin. From above it doesn't look like a dense town centre. It reads as a set of separate residential clusters, each with its own loop of access roads, with open ground between them. On paper the effect is quiet and scattered, like handwriting across an empty page.
The town was founded in the early 1980s as one of the planned towns built for the Bedouin community of the Negev, and its layout reflects that origin. Neighbourhoods were drawn as distinct units rather than as one continuous grid. A few main roads link them, and the rest of the map is a network of short, branching streets that end where the dry hills begin.
