Lambari belongs to the Circuito das Águas, the group of spa towns in southern Minas Gerais known for their mineral springs. On a map, the town centre has an unusual focal point. Instead of a plaza or a cathedral square, a lake sits in the middle, and the streets curve to follow its shoreline before they return to the straighter lines of the surrounding blocks.
Next to the water is the Parque das Águas, where the mineral springs are protected inside a green enclosure. Beyond the centre, the street pattern loosens as it climbs into the rolling hills typical of the Sul de Minas. Roads leave the town along ridges and valleys rather than on a grid, and the built area gradually gives way to pasture and patches of woodland.
