El mapa
Luohuang Map Poster & Print
Luohuang is a town within Jiangjin District of Chongqing Municipality, set on the banks of the Yangtze upstream from the city centre. As in much of the Chongqing region, flat land is scarce, so the town is squeezed between the river and the hills, with streets running parallel to the water and climbing where the slopes allow.
The Yangtze is the most prominent feature on a Luohuang map poster. It sweeps past in a broad, dark band, far wider than any street, and defines the edge of the town. Industrial sites, including a large power station, occupy parts of the riverfront, taking advantage of water and river transport.
Away from the river, the street pattern becomes more fragmented, divided by ridges and valleys into separate clusters of buildings linked by winding roads. It is a working town rather than a tourist destination, and its map shows the practical way settlement has adapted to one of China's great rivers.

Hill-bound streets
Behind the riverbank the ground rises, and roads divide into separate clusters and winding connections shaped by the uneven terrain.

Per què Luohuang
Un mapa amb significat
Luohuang is meaningful for people who grew up or worked there, especially those tied to its riverside industries. A map with the Yangtze running across it is also striking in its own right, simple and strongly balanced.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, in Chinese characters if you prefer. Blueprint suits the industrial character of the riverfront, while Classic black and white makes the width of the Yangtze especially dramatic.
