El mapa
Novomichurinsk Map Poster & Print
Novomichurinsk is a town in Ryazan Oblast, built in the late Soviet period alongside the Ryazan power station. From above, it has the clear structure of a planned settlement: straight streets, large residential blocks arranged in regular groups, and a defined boundary with the surrounding fields and forests.
The power station and its reservoir on the Pronya river dominate the landscape, and on the map the wide body of water forms a large, smooth shape next to the town. Industrial areas, rail links and roads connect the plant to the rest of the region, adding long straight lines to the composition.
A Novomichurinsk map poster shows this unusual combination of planned housing, industrial infrastructure and open water. The geometric blocks contrast with the irregular edges of the reservoir and forests. It is a very specific kind of urban landscape, and a meaningful one for the people who grew up there.
