El mapa
Pasuruan Map Poster & Print
Pasuruan lies on the north coast of East Java, facing the Madura Strait between Surabaya and Probolinggo. Its map runs from the sea inland: a low coastline edged with fishponds and mangrove, a river winding through the city to its mouth, and a compact centre where the older streets gather near the waterfront and the main coastal road.
The city was an important port and trading town in the colonial era, especially for sugar grown on the plains behind it, and a number of Dutch-era buildings survive in the centre. It remains home to Indonesia's sugar research institute, a reminder of how closely the city's fortunes have been tied to the cane fields of East Java.
Inland, the land rises gradually toward the volcanic highlands, and the regency around the city includes routes up to Mount Bromo. A Pasuruan map poster frames the city at the meeting of shore and plain, with the grid of the centre, the river and the fishponds forming a calm, detailed composition.

River to the sea
A river winds through the city and out to the coast, giving the map a flowing line and marking the historic heart of the port.
Colonial-era centre
The older core retains a regular grid with Dutch-era buildings, a denser, more structured area set against the looser streets of newer neighbourhoods.
