El mapa
Portage Map Poster & Print
Portage lies in Porter County, on the southern shore of Lake Michigan between Gary and Michigan City. It reaches the lake at a short stretch of shoreline, surrounded by some of the most important landscapes and industries of the region: the dunes of Indiana Dunes National Park on one side and the steel mills and ports of the lakeshore on the other.
On the map, Portage is made of layers. At the north edge, the lakeshore and the waterway leading to the port form strong lines. Further south, major highways cross the city from east to west, carrying traffic around the southern end of the lake. Between them are neighbourhoods of suburban streets, with parks and wooded areas along the creeks.
A Portage map poster brings the lake, the highways and the neighbourhoods together on one sheet. The Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk, a public beach and walkway created on formerly industrial land, is part of the national park. For people who live and work here, the map captures a place where industry, nature and suburban life meet.

Per què Portage
Un mapa amb significat
Portage is home for steelworkers, commuters to Chicago and families who value the dunes and the lake. A poster of the city shows how all of those pieces fit together in one place.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a year, and edit the coordinates. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand; Blueprint emphasises the lake and highways nicely.
