Radevormwald lies in the Bergisches Land in North Rhine-Westphalia, on a plateau above the upper Wupper valley. It is known locally as a town on the heights, and it sits higher than most of its neighbours. The town centre spreads along the ridge, and the land falls away to the surrounding valleys and woodland.
That position shapes the map. The core forms a fairly compact cluster on top of the hill, and the roads leading out branch downhill along spurs and into scattered hamlets typical of the region. To the east, the Wupper reservoir winds through the valley and adds a long, irregular shape of water to the frame.
A Radevormwald map poster captures a town that grew with the textile and metalworking trades of the Bergisch region but kept its hilltop layout.
