Shuikou sits in the mountains of southeastern Guizhou, close to the border with Guangxi. From above, the town is a narrow strip of streets and rooftops laid along a river valley. Steep forested ridges close in on every side, so the built area can only stretch along the valley floor and into the few side valleys the river leaves open.
The valley shapes every line on the map. The main road follows the curve of the river. Lanes branch off in short, uneven runs until the slope stops them. Beyond the last houses, the pattern loosens into fields, footpaths and scattered hamlets. Seen at poster scale, it reads as a town drawn by geography rather than by a planner's ruler.
This part of Guizhou belongs to the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, a region known for wooden villages and mountain farming. A Shuikou map poster keeps that setting in view.
